Konstantin V. Yumashev

 

Konstantin V. Yumashev – Head of the Experimental and Theoretical Physics Department of Belarusian National Technical University, Professor, Doctor of Science (Physics and Mathematics). Expert in the field of optical engineering, optical materials, and laser technology.

He was born in 1957 in Severomorsk, Russian Federation. He graduated from the Physics Department of the Belarusian State University with the degree of M.S. in physics.

From 1979 to 1994 he worked for the Institute for Applied Physical Problems of Belarusian State University. Since 1995 he is in the Belarusian National Technical University, from 2014 to the present time he is the head of the Experimental and Theoretical Physics Department.

In 1985 he received the degree of Ph.D. in physics and mathematics in the specialty 04.04.03 – «Radiophysics, including quantum radiophysics», in 2003 – the degree of D.Sc. (Physics and Mathematics) in the specialties 01.04.05 «Optics» and 01.04.21 «Laser Physics». 

He published about 300 scientific papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals, has 32 patents. He was a supervisor of 1 Doctor of Science and 3 Candidates of Science.
