Alexey P. Shkadarevich – Director of the Research and Production Unitary Enterprise “Scientific and Technical Center “LEMT” BelOMO”, Doctor of Science ((Physics and Mathematics; 1988), Professor (1990), Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (2017). Expert in the field of laser physics and technologies and optical-electronic instrumentation.

A. Shkadarevich was born in 1947 in the town of Kopyl, Minsk Region. In 1970 he graduated from the Faculty of Physics of the Belarusian State University with a specialization in radio physics and electronics.

1970–1979 – he was as postgraduate studient and later worked as an intern researcher, junior and senior researcher at the Institute of Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the BSSR. Since 1979 he worked at the Belarusian Optical-Mechanical Association: 1979–1992 – Head of the Inter-branch Department, Head of the Department - Deputy Chief Engineer of the Central Design Bureau “Peleng”; 1992 – present time – Director of the Unitary enterprise “NTS LEMT BelOMO”.

He published over 400 scientific papers, including 7 monographs. He is the author of more than 120 inventions and was the scientific adviser for one doctor of science and 6 candidates of science.

He is the Winner of the State Prize of the Republic of Belarus in the field of science and technology (2000).
