Fadei F. Komarov – Head of Elionics Laboratory at the A.N.Sevchenko Institute of Applied Physics Problems of the Belarusian State University. Professor, Doctor of Science (Physics and Mathematics), Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Expert in the field of radiation physics of solids, micro- and nanoelectronics, X-ray and ion beam optics, device designing.
Born in Mogilev region in 1945. He graduated from the Physics and Mathematics Faculty of the Mogilev State Pedagogical Institute. Post-graduate at the Solid State Department of the Belarusian State University. He was a visitor to the Institute of Physics of the Aarhus University (Denmark) for two years. He is a staff member of the Institute of Applied Physics Problems of the Belarusian State University since 1974 till present. Since 1982 till 1993 he served as a Deputy Director of the Institute of Applied Physics Problems.
Candidate of Science in physics and mathematics, speciality 01.04.07 «Solid State Physics» (1974). Doctor of Science (Physics and Mathematics), speciality 01.04.07 «Solid State Physics» (1982). Professor (Solid State Physics, 1984).
State Prize laureate in the field of science and technology (1998).
He published more than 400 papers in scientific topical journals, 18 books five of which were translated in English in the USA. He is a coauthor of 42 patents. He was a supervisor of 35 Candidates of Science and a consultant of 6 Doctor of Science.
